NEW! Winter Solstice Qigong Class

A special live session to harmonize your body with the change in seasons

December 21st, 2024

9:30-10:45am Pacific Time (Vancouver)

Thank you for joining us! The replay will be sent out to those who signed up.

Join Stephanie for a special Qigong class on the Winter Solstice, a time to honor the darkness (yin) and welcome the return of the light (yang). In this nurturing online class, we will utilize simple qigong movements, passive meridian stretching and breathing practices.

Our focus will be on restoring the nervous system by harmonizing yin and yang energies. We will pay particular attention to the kidneys, bladder and bones, integrating water element practices to nurture these vital organs that support our health and vitality during the colder months.

The final segment of the class will guide you through a reflective meditation, allowing space for contemplation and intention-setting for the year ahead. In Taoism, it is known that at the apex of darkness is where the greatest potential for new possibilities to emerge. This is an opportunity to release what no longer serves you and embrace new possibilities as the light begins to return.

All levels are welcome, so whether you’re new to Qigong or an experienced practitioner, come with an open heart and a willingness to connect with the rhythms of nature. Embrace this unique moment to reset and rejuvenate as we honour the Winter Solstice together! We look forward to sharing this special journey with you.

Please have a yoga matt and/or something comfortable to lay on, a blanket, journal and pen. Wear comfortable clothes.

“I have just three things to teach:
simplicity, patience, and compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and in thoughts,
you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world."

-Tao De Ching, Chapter 67
